Team Jade is building a tactical, squad-based first-person shooter set in a dark, mystery-filled world where survival is anything but guaranteed.
In a nerve-racking post-mission debrief, a senior officer interrogates a shaken soldier about a disastrous incursion into an Ember Zone. What began as a routine mission quickly spiraled into chaos, ending with ominous consequences. Players will set out on expeditions, engage in brutal firefights, interact with complex environments, and craft improvised gear. Developed on Unreal Engine 5, Project Spectrum drops players into a ravaged world, scarred by the Ember — a radiant force that warps reality itself. Cities, landscapes, even living beings are twisted beyond recognition, leaving behind deadly Ember Zones.
As Operators, players lead high-risk missions into these hostile regions, recruiting and customizing squads of elite Agents before stepping into their roles firsthand. Their tasks: gather intelligence, neutralize threats, and unravel the mysteries of the Ember. Every moment is unpredictable, as players confront Ember-spawned monstrosities, rival agents, and the psychological strain of the warped environment. Success demands building and tailoring agents, mastering coordinated squad synergy, exploiting environmental awareness, and improvising tools — all while managing sanity, a fragile resource, and evading executioners: colossal, hyper-agile monsters controlled by other players.
“We are thrilled to unveil Project Spectrum to players worldwide, after secretly working on it for two years. Our aim was to create something truly distinctive: a finely crafted, uniquely styled shooter that brings to life a perilous yet captivating world. Players will face unexpected dangers on their journey, and sometimes, they may become the danger themselves. Our adventure is just beginning, and we look forward to sharing more soon,” said game director Basil Wang in a press release.
Project Spectrum is currently announced only for PC, with no confirmed release date.
