Eden Games and Nacon promise an easily accessible and entertaining racing experience in the latest installment of Gear.Club Unlimited.
Designed for fun and easy gameplay, Gear.Club Unlimited 3 offers a more comprehensive experience. This new installment features two contrasting environments: the sunny Mediterranean coast and the winding mountain roads of Japan. A brand-new “Highway” mode challenges players with dense traffic and high-speed moments. With over 40 officially licensed cars and a full career mode, the game offers instant driving enjoyment for all types of players.
That’s all Nacon has said about the game, so let’s take a closer look at this intellectual property (IP). It originated from Gear.Club, released for iOS and Android in 2016. An expanded version, Gear.Club Unlimited, was released by Eden Games as a Nintendo Switch exclusive in November 2017. A sequel was announced in 2018 and appeared on the Switch that December. This time, however, the IP became multiplatform, with Gear.Club Unlimited 2 Ultimate Edition arriving in November 2021 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
Eden Games has a long history with racing titles, having developed the first three V-Rally games, the PS1 port of Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed, and the still-excellent Test Drive Unlimited, released in 2006 for Xbox 360 and PC. They briefly detoured with Alone in the Dark (2008, PS3, Xbox 360, PC), but racing games remain their specialty. Another game from them is due this year: Garfield Kart 2: All You Can Drift (PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, Switch).
Gear.Club Unlimited 3 is scheduled for release in late 2025, targeting the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
