Dual Effect and PQube have announced that Tormented Souls II will launch on October 23 for PC and most current-gen consoles, arriving four years after the first game.
The award-winning survival horror returns, once again starring Caroline Walker. Players will stalk the eerie corridors of monasteries and other nightmarish locations, armed only with improvised weapons, as they desperately try to save Caroline’s cursed sister.
Following the events of Wildberger Hospital, Caroline dreams of a normal life with her younger sister, Anna. But fate intervenes: Anna succumbs to a mysterious illness, coughing blood, her eyes darkening, and ultimately falling unconscious. With conventional medicine powerless, Caroline is forced to turn to the supernatural in a desperate attempt to save her.
The Horrors of Puerto Miller
The journey takes Caroline to Puerto Miller, a remote South American town founded centuries ago by the reclusive Ismuit tribe. Beneath its ancient facade lie unspeakable terrors. Players must endure pulse-pounding battles against monstrous creatures, using a variety of creative, makeshift weapons. Every corner may hide an enemy, making careful resource management crucial to survival.
Logic and reasoning must be applied to connect items found in the environment to intricately designed puzzles. By combining resources creatively, players can solve sinister enigmas and uncover the dark secrets that surround their path.
Tormented Souls II launches October 23 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store). The first game debuted in 2021 on PS5 and PC, later arriving on Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. The sequel will not release on those older platforms, and no Nintendo Switch 2 version has been announced.
