Werwulf Will Be a Brutal Medieval Drama

MOVIE NEWS – Robert Eggers’ upcoming horror takes us to 13th-century England and promises to be his darkest film yet.

Eggers’ previous works (The Witch, The Lighthouse, The Northman, Nosferatu) were far from lighthearted, but Werwulf is set to surpass them in bleakness. Initially rumored to be shot in black and white, the director has opted instead for raw, brutally realistic visuals.

The film, set in medieval England, reimagines the werewolf myth. Starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Lily-Rose Depp, and Willem Dafoe, Eggers promises authentic dialogue and historically faithful settings.
