Plan B: Terraform: Simulation and Strategy, All in a Relaxed Manner and in 1.0! [VIDEO]

Gaddy Games’ game was in early access until a few days ago when it left early access and reached version 1.0.

Sometimes, we don’t want to overexert ourselves; instead, we crave a laid-back game where we can transform a million barren hexagonal tiles into a lush new home for humanity, complete with atmosphere, vegetation, and wildlife. That may sound like a tall order, but it’s exactly what Plan B: Terraform delivers with its version 1.0 release.

Plan B: Terraform is a calm, futuristic sci-fi simulation game where humanity must look beyond Earth to survive. The mission: shape a newly discovered planet into a habitable world. Explore a massive hex-based terrain with more than a million tiles and take advantage of a full ecosystem simulation. Raise global temperatures using greenhouse gas generators, melt underground ice layers to create rivers and oceans, and restore vegetation across the planet’s surface.

Experience dynamic weather systems, including evaporation, wind patterns, and rainfall. Transform a lifeless rock into a vibrant world filled with forests, rivers, and oceans. Mine minerals, manufacture goods, and transport them using trucks, trains, drones, and ships. Build automated supply chains to support expanding cities and turn small outposts into thriving metropolises with millions of inhabitants. Each growth stage depends on managing logistics, optimizing infrastructure, and ensuring smooth automation.

In version 1.0, you can explore the terraformed world as various animals, including eagles, bears, wild boars, camels, elephants, and horses. New creative mode tools have also been added, letting players adjust mineral resources, water sources and channels, mountains, elevations, city sizes, and much more. The game is PC-only and is currently available at a 15% discount—€13.60 instead of €16—until September 5.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
