Nvidia GeForce RTX 5000 Super: Will the Update Need Some Time?

TECH NEWS – Those waiting for the Super versions with more VRAM may be disappointed because the “greens” will likely stick with the base models.

Rumors have recently circulated that Nvidia would launch its GeForce RTX 5000 Super graphics cards in the third quarter. There has also been speculation regarding specifications and pricing, but these details are not new, as the well-known leaker Kopite7kimi reported them months ago. Despite these leaks, the information is still subject to change.

In May, the specifications of the RTX 5080 Super (24 GB VRAM) surfaced, followed in June by the RTX 5070 Ti Super (24 GB VRAM) and RTX 5070 Super (18 GB VRAM). Beyond this, however, information about pricing and release windows should be considered false. A source at WCCFTech confirmed that Nvidia never planned to release the GeForce RTX 5000 Super cards this year and that we may not even hear about them at CES in January.

In short: RTX 5000 Super cards will not be available anytime soon, as Nvidia and its AIB partners have not finalized the launch date. The RTX 5000 series is in full production, with no signs of discontinuation. While specification rumors have been circulating for months, talk of delays is misleading, as the launch date has never been set in stone.

WCCFTech also confirmed with several AICs that none have received any information regarding the RTX 5000 Super lineup. The current RTX 5000 cards are only now reaching MSRP due to ramped-up production. Most likely, these rumors are being used to cause market panic, prompting buyers to sell their GPUs out of fear that new Super cards will reduce resale value. In reality, this is not the case.
