Lollipop Chainsaw RePop: A Nintendo Switch 2 Port Is Coming! [VIDEO]

It was only a matter of time: Dragami Games has officially confirmed that Juliet’s chainsaw-fueled adventure is making its way to the Nintendo Switch 2.

According to Dragami Games, anyone who already owns Lollipop Chainsaw RePop on the Nintendo Switch will be able to upgrade to the Switch 2 version. However, it has not been confirmed whether this upgrade will be free or paid. The new hardware promises significantly higher resolution, smoother frame rates, and improved visuals. Attendees at the Tokyo Game Show between September 25 and 28 will be able to try the port, and those who do will receive a special 100% completion save of Lollipop Chainsaw.

The Nightmare Mode, released in mid-March, will almost certainly be available on the Switch 2 version. In this mode, Juliet awakens as a legendary zombie hunter after achieving the happy ending in either Original or RePop Mode. Set in San Romero High School, transformed into a dark, dreamlike world, the mode retains the same story and dialogue but replaces standard zombies with named ones. The Voices of Darkness enemies also feature altered stats and behavior, making them more dangerous.

Players can collect items in Nightmare Mode that unlock Juliet’s latent powers, enabling high-speed, acrobatic combat. By completing Chapter 6, players can acquire the Legendary Zombie Hunter skill, the Aura of Legend, which boosts her chainsaw’s power and range. These abilities can carry over to other modes (Original, RePop, and Time Attack) and can be toggled on or off via the Options menu.

Lollipop Chainsaw RePop was released on September 12, 2024, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, and Nintendo Switch, followed by a December 2 release for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. As of August this year, total sales had reached 300,000.
