New Horror From James Wan Delayed by Five Months

MOVIE NEWS – Horror fans know James Wan as the creative force behind Saw, Insidious, and The Conjuring, but he has also directed blockbusters like Furious 7 and Aquaman. His latest project, The Other Mommy, was originally slated for release next May but has now been pushed back to October.

The film is based on Josh Materman’s novel, published last year. It tells the ghostly tale of a young girl haunted by a supernatural being known only as “the other mommy.” Leading the cast is Jessica Chastain, no stranger to horror, with credits that include Mama and Crimson Peak.

The film is directed by British filmmaker Rob Savage, who honed his skills on commercials and shorts before proving himself in supernatural horror with The Ritual and The Boogeyman.
