XPENG Officially Arrives in Hungary – Regional Premiere at the Millenáris

TECH NEWS – XPENG, founded in 2014 and considered one of the world’s most innovative electric car manufacturers, has officially arrived in Hungary. The brand held not only a national but a regional launch in Budapest at the Millenáris, marking a notable milestone for the development of electric mobility in the region.

At the same time, the brand is launching its models in three markets—Hungary, Croatia, and Slovenia—where, as in Hungary, the importer duties will be handled by a joint venture between AutoWallis and Salvador Caetano. The partnership aims to provide customers across the three countries with high-standard sales and comprehensive after-sales services. Sales will begin this autumn with three models: the P7, G6, and G9, which will first be available to buyers at pop-up stores in Budapest and Ljubljana in October.

XPENG’s Vision and Highlights

XPENG builds more than cars—it shapes the future. The regional showcase at Millenáris made that philosophy tangible: during the evening, audience members were introduced not only to the two new models, the G6 and G9, but also to XPENG’s iconic P7, representing the brand’s achievements to date and hinting at future plans. Attendees also got a glimpse of a vision where vehicles operate not only on roads but in the air as well: with the X2 model, the brand is opening new dimensions in aerial mobility. XPENG’s vision goes beyond conventional boundaries, imagining a world where bold technological innovation pairs with sustainability—flying vehicles in the skies and purely electric vehicles on roads embody the future of sustainable mobility. The brand’s message was clear: tomorrow has already begun—here and now, in Budapest.

The New XPENG G6

The brand-new XPENG G6 is one of the fastest-charging electric SUVs in its class, capable of recharging from 10% to 80% in just 12 minutes thanks to an industry-leading maximum charging power of 451 kW and a full-vehicle 800V architecture. The new lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery offers a more sustainable and safer alternative to previous chemistries while delivering uncompromised performance. The model’s clean, futuristic design and premium interior, combined with smart features, set a new standard in modern electromobility. The cabin includes numerous comfort solutions—such as seats with massage function, a starlight panoramic roof, and intelligent digital interfaces—making the G6 an ideal companion for daily use and long trips.

The New XPENG G9

The G9 is the brand’s premium flagship, representing the forefront of electric SUVs with elegant styling, a luxurious interior, and impressive performance. The model offers class-leading charging speeds and comes equipped with XPENG’s most advanced autonomous driving systems, setting new benchmarks for safety and comfort. As part of its premium specification, drivers and passengers enjoy an outstanding digital experience: a 10.25” digital instrument cluster is paired with a 14.96” central touchscreen and a 14.96” passenger-side touchscreen. Leather upholstery, heated and ventilated seats in both front and rear rows, and front-seat massage functionality provide top-tier comfort. The spacious cabin emphasizes a premium feel, from refined materials to modern ambient lighting.

The XPENG P7

The showcase also featured XPENG’s iconic all-electric sedan, the P7. Known worldwide for its elegant design, sporty performance, and advanced intelligent features, the P7 is one of the brand’s best-known models. A next-generation version is expected soon. With this regional launch, XPENG aims to open a new chapter for electric mobility not only in Hungary but also in Croatia and Slovenia.

The event also indicates that a new international player has entered the Central and Eastern European electric vehicle market, which may increase competition and consumer choice; the actual market impact will depend on consumer uptake, pricing and the development of the service network.
