[SOP 2025] Yakuza Kiwami Triple: A New Remake and Several New Ports! [VIDEO]

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and SEGA are working on several projects in the franchise, but considering the older entries, they are not renaming the entire series to Like a Dragon.

A legend is reborn, and a new legacy begins. Yakuza Kiwami 3 is an extreme remake of the action-adventure beat ’em up Yakuza 3, featuring ex-yakuza Kazuma Kiryu‘s fight to protect his loved ones. Dark Ties, a brand-new game, features Yoshitaka Mine from Yakuza 3 and is included as a separate, action-packed experience. Continue Kazuma Kiryu’s story as he fights to protect his loved ones in an enhanced remake that brings the beloved classic to a new level. Okinawa and Tokyo’s bustling streets come to life in stunning detail, while reimagined combat elevates brutal brawls to new heights. New scenes add depth and emotion to the story, while expanded side content immerses players like never before.

In Dark Ties, experience Yoshitaka Mine’s brand-new story in a standalone game. Once a successful startup leader, he lost everything and voluntarily plunged into the dark world of the yakuza. Empty-hearted, his search for true bonds propels him on a dramatic journey filled with boxing-based combat and engaging side content. Two men follow different paths that eventually converge to shake the foundations of fate.

It was also announced that Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut, one of the Nintendo Switch 2 launch titles (released on June 5), will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC. A physical version is in development for consoles. The Red Light Raid multiplayer mode will arrive later via an update. The Yakuza 0 versions on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC cannot be updated to the Director’s Cut, nor can save data be transferred. Remakes of the first two games, Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2, will also launch for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series following their Nintendo Switch 2 release. A Yakuza Series 20th Anniversary Bundle will include these games plus Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut in a physical edition.

Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties launches on February 12 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, PC, and PlayStation 4. Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut releases on December 8 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC. Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2 arrive on November 13 for Nintendo Switch 2 and on December 8 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. Additional language support for PC follows on December 9.
