Ninja Gaiden 4: No Major DLC Coming This Year! [VIDEO]

Thus, Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo will give players enough time to complete the base game.

Ninja Gaiden 4 is a notable exception. Xbox Game Studios will publish the game, which PlatinumGames is developing alongside Team Ninja. Despite Xbox Game Studios‘ involvement, Ninja Gaiden 4 will still be a multiplatform title. It will not follow Microsoft’s approach with Forza Horizon 6, but will be released simultaneously on all platforms. At the Tokyo Game Show, game director Masakazu Hirayama discussed Ninja Gaiden 4’s first major DLC, The Two Masters, during the latest official Xbox podcast:

“The Two Masters DLC will be available in early 2026 and will contain new weapons for Yakumo and Ryu. From the key visual, you can see that Yakumo’s new weapon reflects his personality and combat style. Ryu’s weapon, on the other hand, has a more precise design, allowing players to perform powerful, high-speed abilities. Each weapon has its own unique attributes and a wealth of mechanics for Ninja Gaiden 4 players to explore. We’re excited to see how players will react.”

“In addition to these weapons, the Two Masters DLC will include new story content that takes place after the events of the base game and unfolds from the perspectives of both characters. Beyond the story, there will also be post-game challenges that differ from the Ninja Trials found in the base game. There’s plenty of content awaiting players,” said Hirayama.

We already know (and previously reported) that the base game will take around 15–20 hours to complete (and certainly more to earn the platinum trophy). While it’s unclear how much additional playtime the DLC will offer, it definitely won’t be something you can finish in just one or two hours. The Two Masters DLC is part of the game’s Deluxe Edition or can be purchased separately as an upgrade from the base game for €20.

Ninja Gaiden 4 will launch on October 21 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.
