MOVIE NEWS – Following the smash hit of Five Nights at Freddy’s, the sequel is almost here and promises another major event for fans.

The follow-up is crafted above all for the millions who love the video-game series that inspired the franchise: not only do they enjoy being scared in the half-light, they also love solving the puzzles hidden everywhere by the creators. With that in mind, Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 was made, as the film’s director explained.

“Naturally, the goal was to level up with the sequel,” Emma Tammi told Collider. “So we have new animatronic monsters that stalk their victims even more terrifyingly than last time. Just as important: we stuffed the film to the brim with Easter eggs — sly nods to the original game — to browse almost endlessly. Maybe only the most die-hard fans will find them all, but the movie remains thrilling throughout; you don’t need to unpack every layer. That said, it helps to know the first film because — without spoiling anything — there are moments where one character tries something another failed at previously, and that can be tremendously fun.”
