AAA Games Studio, Koei Tecmo, and Nintendo provided a sneak peek of the new Hyrule Warriors installment.
In Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment for the Nintendo Switch 2, the fate of ancient Hyrule hangs in the balance. Players stand alongside Princess Zelda as Demon King Ganondorf’s dark forces sweep across the kingdom. Witness the beginning of this previously untold chapter of Hyrule’s history, which ultimately leads to the events of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
In Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, King Rauru and Princess Zelda must lead a desperate defense against an invasion that will determine the kingdom’s fate. The survival of Hyrule and its people depends on heroes who are willing to stand together against Ganondorf’s legion. You’ll encounter various characters throughout the story, including new characters like Calamo, a boisterous Korok searching for a place to settle down; and the Mysterious Construct, who can transform and fly. You will also encounter more familiar figures during your adventure. Players will get to know Princess Zelda and the legendary Sages, including Agraston, the worldly chief of the Gorons; Qia, the courageous Zora queen; and Raphica, the quick-witted leader of the Rito.
In order to defend the kingdom, these heroes must unite against Ganondorf’s invasion. Having two characters work together allows you to unleash powerful Sync Strikes, giving you an edge in combat. Different character combinations produce different Sync Strikes. For example, some strikes grant characters buffs, while others create constructs you can control. Try out different pairs and deliver devastating blows to the opposition! Rally your allies and use their signature abilities to vanquish hordes of enemies in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment launches.
Its release is not far off, as Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment is set to release on November 6 for the Nintendo Switch 2. Tying the spin-off’s story to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a clever idea, as it will generate interest in the latter.
