A leak suggests BlueTwelve and Annapurna’s cat adventure Stray could headline November 2025’s PlayStation Plus Essential lineup — the snag is, it’s been on the service before.
Stray, developed by BlueTwelve and published by Annapurna Interactive, is rumored to be among November’s Essential titles, potentially as the marquee pick. Billbil-kun — a leaker with a strong track record on PS Plus — posted on Dealabs that the 2022 release, which famously charmed both players and their feline overlords, will be available to all PlayStation Plus Essential, Extra, and Premium members starting November 4.
If true, it’s a rerun: the game previously joined the PlayStation Plus lineup at launch nearly three and a half years ago. Back then, it was part of the PlayStation Plus Extra library and remained accessible for roughly a year. Its departure from the subscription coincided with the end of its one-year console exclusivity.
While Stray returning may disappoint some — especially following this month’s excellent yet profit-light Alan Wake II from Remedy — there could still be surprises. Two more titles are slated for the November lineup, and Sony is set to reveal them tomorrow at 4:30 p.m. CET (yes, the clocks already moved…).
Which brings up the perennial question: is it really that hard to surface quality games that haven’t already cycled through Extra/Premium? Sony could lean on more first-party additions, but so far has declined; Microsoft, for its part, reserves day-one drops for the higher Game Pass tier — consistently, at least.
