Agni: Village of Calamity: Indonesian Horror Game Coming to Console [VIDEO]

Indonesian studio Separuh Interactive is bringing Agni: Village of Calamity to Xbox Series alongside PC in 2026. Set in a haunted Javanese village, this psychological survival horror follows a Lynchian, surreal narrative where an unkillable entity stalks you and your choices carry unsettling, personal consequences.

As an investigator, you’ll scour scenes for clues, study environments for context, and examine inventory items to uncover hidden details. Sitting at the crossroads of horror and strategy, every moment tests your wits through tense exploration, crafty puzzles, and systems designed to keep you on edge.

The cinematic story leans on interactive set pieces and memorable beats; combat punctuates the dread with a system inspired by the raw intensity of Indonesian slasher cinema, making encounters both brutal and purposeful. A fixed hybrid camera and relentless pursuers nod to the formative roots of Resident Evil and Silent Hill.

Survival demands careful resource management, smart tool use, and frequent backtracking as you unravel what lurks in the shadows. Pressure escalates as enemies close in and safety remains elusive—escape is rarely clean, and comfort never guaranteed.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
