Warhammer 40K Invades the Survivors Craze – The Crossover You Didn’t See Coming

Even Warhammer 40K is bringing its trademark brutality to one of Steam’s most viral genres, unveiling an unexpected collaboration with the creators of Vampire Survivors. Auroch Digital and poncle’s joint project, Warhammer Survivors, is slated for a 2026 release.

Warhammer is synonymous with grimdark sci-fi and heroic, nerve-shredding battles. For years, Games Workshop has pushed the license into video games, backing projects across everything from strategy to splatter-heavy action. Now it’s turning heads with Warhammer Survivors – a blend of Warhammer 40K and Vampire Survivors that made a strong first impression at reveal.

Few expected the makers of Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun at Auroch Digital to join forces with poncle, the studio behind the hit Vampire Survivors, to craft a new title rooted in the sci-fi and heroic-fantasy IP. The pairing promises exactly what fans anticipate: a roguelite–bullet hell gauntlet swarming with foes, where survival hinges on smart upgrade paths, power-ups, and weapon choices – culminating in a delirious festival of abilities, monsters, and projectiles.

A Roguelite That Keeps the Warhammer DNA

Because it’s built on the Warhammer 40K setting, the IP’s fingerprint will be everywhere in Warhammer Survivors. That means not only enemies drawn from the Games Workshop universe, but also playable heroes. Auroch Digital has already confirmed several characters long familiar to fans.

• Malum Caedo – Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun
• Kozlowski of the Cadian Shock Troops – Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun
• Brother Luca, Space Marine Intercessor – Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun
• Neave Blacktalon, warrior of Sigmar – Warhammer: Age of Sigmar
• Gotrek Gurnisson – Warhammer: Age of Sigmar
• Sharynn Azurwrath, Conqueror – Warhammer: Age of Sigmar

If this pitch has you curious, know that Warhammer Survivors won’t land for a while. According to its reveal, the Auroch Digital and poncle title is targeting Steam sometime in 2026. The studios won’t stay silent until launch – expect more details over time, including extra Warhammer 40K characters joining this intriguing roguelite.
