This story-driven, 1980s-themed action RPG will initially be released for PC only. However, Black Seven Studios and Dangen Entertainment will also release it for consoles.
Hunt down nightmarish demons and save the town of Miami, Arizona, in this 80s-themed, isometric action RPG. Choose your class, customize your abilities, collect unique gear, and battle nightmarish creatures as you infiltrate the massive lairs of demon lords who have overtaken the town. Explore the town freely with an expansive, interconnected map and open-ended quests while unraveling the main story, which blends coming-of-age drama, cosmic horror, and true love. Take control of John as he navigates an hour-by-hour dilemma that could be everyone’s last night on Earth. You will encounter unearthly evils, demon lords, afflicted townsfolk, high school bullies, and a torrent of engaging, serial-like side stories. All of these are nested in a larger-than-life fantasy that brings the ultimate evil to a neighborhood near you.
Defeat the town’s demons to get closer to unraveling Baphomet’s grip on Miami. Explore the entire town map, interact with a wide cast of NPCs, and take on the Demon Generals in any order. Choose from five different classes: Barbarian, Knight, Rogue, Necromancer, and Sorcerer. Each class has a different set of strengths, providing a unique play style. Your base style is determined by the class you choose, while the skill trees allow for further customization. Skill trees are split into three branches, each containing 10 different talents. As you level up, allocate points to any of the three branches of your class. Once you reach level 10 in your first branch, you can cross over into another branch and fully customize your play style.
Equip yourself with new gear by completing quests, finding hidden items throughout the town, and scoring random drops from a multi-tiered loot system with variable drop rates. The items you collect range from common to completely unique. The items you collect add an extra dimension to character stat development and have special abilities that will make you more powerful. You don’t have to face the forces of darkness alone. In the Kingdom of Night, you can play through the campaign alone as John or with a friend in local cooperative play. Team up and combine different character classes to become a torrent of annihilation that the underworld will fear.
Kingdom of Night will be released on December 2 for PC for $20 and will support English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. It is also being developed for consoles, but those versions will arrive later.
