In addition to the Valley of Memory DLC, a new update will be released for this episode of Assassin’s Creed, which sticks to the classic formula.
Ubisoft has confirmed that the Assassin’s Creed Mirage update will launch alongside the Valley of Memory DLC, bringing gameplay changes and new features. Arriving on November 18 with the free add-on, the update introduces the ability to replay all black box missions and contracts after you’ve completed them once. Each replayable mission includes bespoke challenges that push players to get creative – for example, don’t use Eagle Vision or target only the main enemy. Completing these missions grants exclusive rewards usable in New Game+.
The free Assassin’s Creed Mirage update also adds a new free-jump option that enables manual jumping, a revised control scheme to make parkour feel smoother when free jump is enabled, a back- and side-eject mode that lets Basim perform ejects regardless of a safe landing spot, and several other parkour refinements to smooth out traversal.
The update further adds a new ability called Engineer 2, letting Basim equip all Level 1 upgrades to his tools, plus a new Level 3 modification that strengthens every tool. Rounding out the feature set is a new difficulty, Hardened Assassin, which features tougher foes than the Assassin setting, and an even more demanding Ultimate Assassin mode if you want to truly test your skills.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and it drew attention for bringing back the series’ classic gameplay formula.
