Since the games from Capcom and Grasshopper Manufacture have been evaluated by a rating board, their release is not far off.
According to Gematsu, the South Korean game rating board GRAC (Game Rating and Administration Committee) has officially rated Pragmata and Romeo Is a Dead Man. Pragmata is Capcom’s new sci-fi intellectual property (IP), originally announced in June 2020, before the release of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. Originally scheduled for release in 2022, the game has been delayed several times. Just when fans had almost given up hope of ever playing it, the third-person action-adventure game reappeared in June with a new video and the promise of a 2026 release, putting an end to speculation that it was a secret Mega Man game. The GRAC recommends the game for ages 12 and up. According to the board’s description, the game is an action-adventure title in which the main character, Hugh, and the android, Diana, team up to defeat their enemies and return to Earth. The game contains mild violence, such as fighting enemy robots and AI forces with weapons.
Romeo Is a Dead Man is also a sci-fi action-adventure game developed by Grasshopper Manufacture and Suda Goichi (Suda51). His games usually contain adult themes, and indeed, the GRAC has banned this game for minors. According to the GRAC, Romeo Is a Dead Man is a sci-fi action-adventure title in which the main character, Romeo Stargazer, becomes Deadman, an FBI time-space division agent who pursues wanted criminals traveling through time and space due to time paradoxes. The game contains excessive violence, including attacks with various weapons and frequent depictions of large amounts of blood and physical injuries. It also features vulgar profanity and language, as well as excessive expressions intended to cause fear and disgust, such as frightening and grotesque monsters, a disturbing atmosphere, and graphic depictions of blood and bodily harm.
The GRAC typically only rates games as their release date approaches. For example, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach was rated four months before its release this year, and the same happened with Beyond Good and Evil Anniversary Edition last year. Therefore, both Pragmata and Romeo Is a Dead Man could be released in the first half of 2026.
