Lollipop Chainsaw RePop: The Nintendo Switch 2 Port Will Be Slightly Delayed!

The latest version of Dragami Games’ title will not be released during the originally planned timeframe, as the developers want to take a break.

The studio had planned to release Lollipop Chainsaw RePop for the new Nintendo hardware in November. However, this release has been postponed until early 2026. The developers will take a break at the end of the year and use the extra time to launch a physical version for the Nintendo Switch 2. They will also prepare an exclusive game mode for the platform called Gun Shooting Mode. Let’s take a look at Dragami’s announcement:

“Initially, the game was planned for release as a digital-only title. However, following the announcement, we carefully considered releasing a physical edition. Thanks to the cooperation of several publishing partners, we are now preparing to release physical editions in multiple regions. To unify the release dates for the digital and physical versions, we have decided to delay the launch. We sincerely apologize to those who have been looking forward to the game and kindly ask for your understanding as we work to deliver the best possible experience. We are also pleased to announce a brand-new mode exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition: Gun Shooting Mode. In this mode, the game’s protagonist, Juliet, is equipped with her Chainsaw Blaster at all times and hunts zombies with gunfire alone. Each stage features wave sections in which hordes of zombies surge in, allowing players to enjoy a new gameplay experience as they aim and shoot from an over-the-shoulder perspective. Additionally, this mode incorporates rail shooter elements, in which players progress along a set path, offering a fresh and thrilling experience that differs from the traditional gameplay style. This mode supports mouse-style controls with the Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Con 2, providing a more intuitive experience. It is unlocked and becomes playable upon completing either Original Mode or RePOP Mode,” wrote Dragami Games.

The studio is committed to providing a complete gaming experience for its audience and will use the extra time to fine-tune the port. At least they’re being honest about the delay!
