Xbox ROG Ally: According to Asus, The Two Handheld PCs Have Been Very Well Received!

HANDHELD NEWS – According to Asus, the public has extremely well received both the Xbox ROG Ally and the Xbox ROG Ally X.

Like many other companies this week, the Taiwanese computer, electronics, and phone manufacturer released its quarterly report, and Chief Financial Officer Nick Wu discussed the new ROG Ally products launched last month in collaboration with Xbox. At the Q3 2025 investor conference, Wu stated that the market feedback has been extremely positive and that the demand for the more expensive devices has even surprised Asus.

“As many of you know, we introduced the first-generation ROG Ally two to three years ago as a market pioneer. Over the past couple of years, this new category, especially within the Windows ecosystem, has proven to be highly successful. We believe that we have achieved our original goals in terms of premium positioning and creating a new growth driver in the gaming segment. That is why we launched the third-generation ROG Ally last month. It features deeper collaboration with Xbox.

Since its launch, the market response has been extremely positive. There has been a particular appetite for the premium, higher-end models that has exceeded our expectations. In fact, these high-end models are currently in short supply. We are working closely with key component suppliers to increase production and meet the current demand. Our goal for the ROG Ally is to remain a core pillar within the Asus gaming portfolio while driving tangible revenue and profit growth for the company,” said Wu.

The CFO added that the company estimates these product launches will generate between NT$3 billion and NT$5 billion (between $96 million and $160 million) in revenue. Due to robust demand, ASUS believes this figure could increase slightly in the coming quarters, reaching between NT$4 billion and NT$5 billion (USD $128 million to $160 million). It seems there is a demand for powerful hardware!
