HANDHELD NEWS – Intel is trying to fight back against AMD, which dominates both the desktop CPU and handheld PC markets.

According to OneRaichu, who is familiar with Intel’s plans, the company is developing Arc B-series GPUs for Panther Lake chips. Intel has decided to market its Xe3-based integrated GPUs as the B-series (Battlemage family) for the upcoming Core Ultra 300 processors (Panther Lake). The naming convention is currently unclear. OneRaichu confirmed in a private tweet that the Arc B390 GPU, the flagship of the series, will have 12 Xe3 cores with a clock speed of up to 2.5 GHz. However, that is not the whole picture. The previously leaked B390 and B370, as well as the B380 and B360, have also been confirmed.

The Arc B380 GPU, which has 12 Xe3 cores, will be included in a special Intel Core Ultra 300 CPU designed for gaming. OneRaichu hinted at this plan, noting that it is on the list but does not yet have an official name. The leaker also noted that this SKU may not have 16 cores, which would make it less expensive, good news for cheaper handheld PCs. This product is positioned below the Core Ultra 5 series and targets this segment. It is aimed at the midrange segment and focuses on gaming performance. This could also put pressure on the Ryzen Z2 series, as Lunar Lake already competes in this segment.

The Arc B390 has 12 Xe3Cs with a clock speed of up to 2.5 GHz in Ultra X7/X9 SKUs; the Arc B380 has 12 Xe3Cs with a clock speed of up to 2.3 GHz and is designed for handheld PCs; the Arc B370 has 10 Xe3Cs with a clock speed of up to 2.4 GHz in the Ultra 5 338 CPU; the Arc B360 has 10 Xe3Cs with a clock speed of up to 2.2 GHz; and there is an as-yet-unnamed Arc with 4 Xe3Cs with a clock speed of up to 2.45–2.5 GHz and another with 2 Xe3Cs with a clock speed of up to 2.3 GHz.

If OneRaichu’s information is accurate, then Intel Panther Lake has six SKUs, some of which currently have no name.
