The Game Awards 2025: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Leads the Nominee List!

Sandfall Interactive’s game is undeniably outstanding, but hardly anyone expected it to rack up this many nominations!

The Game Awards has announced its 2025 nominees, selected by an international jury made up of more than 150 media outlets and creator channels. Topping this year’s list is Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 with 12 nominations, followed by Death Stranding 2: On the Beach and Ghost of Yotei with eight nominations each, Hades II with six, Hollow Knight: Silksong with five and Split Fiction with four. Sony Interactive Entertainment is the most nominated publisher at The Game Awards 2025 with 19 nods, followed by Kepler Interactive with 13, and Electronic Arts and Microsoft with 10 apiece.

Players can now cast their votes in every category on the official website (https://www.thegameawards.com/nominees/) through verified online voting. Voting closes on December 11 at 3 a.m. CET. The Game Awards 2025 will be broadcast live the following day from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California, featuring award presentations, world-premiere announcements and trailers, plus musical performances by The Game Awards Orchestra conducted by Lorne Balfe, along with other surprises. Anikó, our news editor and communication manager, is more interested in the business side of the gaming industry. She worked at banks, and she has a vast knowledge of business life. Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
