Call of Duty: Black Ops 7: Far Behind Battlefield 6 Sales in the EU!

Official data is starting to trickle in for the latest Call of Duty installment, and the early numbers are far from impressive by the series’ usual standards.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is one of Activision’s least notable releases in years. Regardless of its merit, it’s still a new Call of Duty game, so sales should be skyrocketing. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case. According to the latest weekly GSD sales data, Black Ops 7 finished in first place for the week of November 10–16. However, it lags far behind the launch figures for Black Ops 6 in 2024 and the EU sales figures for Battlefield 6. Black Ops 7 sales in the EU trailed Battlefield 6‘s first-week sales by 63%, and according to The Game Business’s estimates, they lagged behind last year’s Black Ops 6 first-week sales by more than 50%.

Despite topping the European Union’s premium (paid) game sales chart in its week of release — meaning it potentially sold millions of copies by Call of Duty standards — this release did not achieve the expected results. Other notable titles on the list include Anno 117: Pax Romana, released just two days before the new Call of Duty. According to The Game Business, it sold more than twice as many copies as the last major Anno game, Anno 1800. Football Manager 26 remains in the top 10 based on revenue, though it has fallen off the list of top sellers. While its first week was impressive, the game’s technical issues at launch and negative word of mouth seem to be affecting sales.

Battlefield 6 remains in the top 10 for both revenue and copies sold. It trails another Electronic Arts title, EA Sports FC 26, on both lists but remains in the top five. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is another title that has maintained its place in the top 10 in terms of revenue and copies sold. It continues to ride the momentum of the release of its third and final DLC, accompanied by a free trial weekend and a significant discount on Steam.

Below is the list of the ten best-selling games in the EU for the week of November 10–16:
