Lost Skies: Survival on Floating Islands Coming to Consoles [VIDEO]

Bossa Games and Humble Games quickly brought the game to consoles after its PC release.

Lost Skies is a cooperative survival adventure for one to six players set among floating islands in the clouds. Players can find and craft ancient technology, build their own skyship, brave ferocious storms, and battle giant threats beyond the horizon. Embark on an adventure through the remnants of ancient civilizations. Uncover the mystery of their downfall, and use their advanced technology to aid your journey. Navigate a shattered world ravaged by storms. Revel in lands reclaimed by nature. Face the colossal beings that still roam the skies and brought about humanity’s destruction.

Flow effortlessly through the broken landscapes of the skies with a physics-based grappling hook. Climb, glide, and fly as you use your creativity for traversal and combat. Enter a seamless world where you can travel to any landmark on the horizon. With such a vast world to explore, you’ll need to build your own skyship to navigate the open skies. Lost Skies’ unique ship-crafting system allows you to intricately shape your ship’s hull and freely place parts wherever you like, taking care to consider the quality and weight of the materials you use. Your skyship is not only your home in the clouds but also your warship for battling and surviving treacherous weather.

Embark on an adventure across a massive, open world of unique, handcrafted floating islands. Daunting weather walls divide the sky into regions, each with its own visuals, resources, and wildlife to discover. Play solo or with up to six other players on player-hosted servers and experience a world that is constantly growing as Bossa Games and the community add more islands. Each island is filled with combat, discovery, and ancient technology puzzles for you to solve. As you obtain loot and unlock paths, you will delve deeper into the islands, where further mysteries await. Contend with curious and hostile wildlife that has taken over the world in the absence of humans.

Get inventive with the intricate ship-building system that lets you design every aspect of your skyship. The underlying physics engine means that weight and aerodynamics play an important role in your designs. Build a single ship for yourself or your friends over the course of your adventure, or build your own ship as part of a fleet. Enjoy a survival experience without the need to constantly eat and drink to stay alive. With beautiful views of the cloudscape and a serene soundtrack, there is always time to relax and take in the sights. Your grappling hook, glider, climbing ability, and other mobility options give you the freedom to explore the islands as you wish and take full advantage of the game’s cloud-based setting. Uncover hidden caverns beneath the surface, and swing to the top of the tallest spire, nowhere is off limits.

The flexible crafting system considers the weight and properties of materials to impact the stats and physical attributes of crafted items. Balance your ship and equipment with the right materials to maximize performance. Engage in epic, naval-style boss fights. Engage in tense battles with giant ancient beings responsible for the end of humanity and exchange cannon fire. Each one will test your accumulated skills and technology, and they hold the keys to traveling to the farthest corners of the world.

Lost Skies was released on PC via early access on April 18 and exited early access on September 17. The conversion for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series will be available by the end of March.
