There may not be much concrete reality behind this cyberpunk open world just yet, but its bold ideas are compelling enough to deserve attention. Argunov Games has unveiled the first in-engine trailer for Supreme Experiment, offering an early glimpse into an unusually ambitious project.

Some of the most intriguing game announcements don’t come from major industry showcases, but instead appear out of nowhere. That is exactly what happened with Supreme Experiment. Developed by Argunov Games, this first-person shooter places a strong emphasis on exploration and immersive combat within a science fiction universe ruled entirely by machines.

While the debut trailer relies on in-engine footage that may not fully represent the final product, it already makes one thing clear: the team is building a game with a strong and distinctive personality. Rather than feeling like another generic sci-fi shooter, Supreme Experiment hints at a carefully constructed world with its own rules, atmosphere, and visual identity.

An Open World Shaped by Machines and Mechanical Cults

Based on what is known so far, the game takes place on the surface of a forgotten world, a hostile landscape where machines have evolved into an entirely new society with their own beliefs and rituals. Far from the remaining human cities, Supreme Experiment sends players into technological ruins dominated by primitive mechanical cults, blending abandoned high-tech structures with a disturbing and oppressive aesthetic.

Exploration will be one of the core elements of the experience. Argunov Games promises a vast hidden open world that can be accessed through strange QR codes scattered throughout the wasteland. These codes initially appear as visual anomalies, but by using a hacked neural implant, players can transform them into real locations populated by characters with their own stories, secrets, and conflicts.

When it comes to gameplay, the developers describe an “immersive combat system seamlessly integrated into exploration”. Although the trailer offers only brief hints of how this system functions, survival, environmental investigation, and encounters with evolved machines are designed to reinforce the feeling of being a fragile human facing creatures many times larger and stronger.

That said, caution is still advised. Supreme Experiment currently has no confirmed release date, and much of its gameplay remains undefined. Even so, its striking visual presentation and ambitious concepts already make it a project worth watching closely.
