Eldegarde: New Name and Release Date for the PvPvE RPG [VIDEO]

The game formerly known as Legacy: Steel & Sorcery from Notorious Studios will remain in Early Access for a little while longer.

Eldegarde is a third-person action PvPvE RPG featuring distinctive fantasy classes. Set out alone or with friends on adventures to hunt for treasure, level up, and defeat anyone who stands in your way. The combat system has been designed specifically around player-versus-player encounters. Feel the weight of every strike and use your abilities to shape the flow of battle. Victory demands quick decisions and precision. In the wilderness, the spoils belong to the victor. The world feels more tangible when everyone’s hard-earned loot is at stake. Triumphs are to be savored, while defeat only strengthens resolve.

Behind the city’s stone walls, rest awaits. Strengthen your elixirs and weapons in shops, relax in your private inn room, organize your stash, and cook meals to prepare for your next adventure.

Venture out solo or join forces with up to two friends to increase your chances of survival. In combat, actively dodge, block, sprint, attack, and cast spells. Level up each character to unlock new abilities and traits. The environment itself is part of the fight: warriors can smash through walls and hurl boulders, while priests can levitate over dangers and keep their distance from enemies. Each class interacts with the world in its own unique way.

Improve your reputation with vendors to have them craft impressive gear and sell you their best wares. Upgrade your permanent lodging with higher-quality furnishings, as better amenities provide additional advantages during your adventures. Embark on quests for unique rewards and much-needed supplies, and experience a fresh start for the entire community when major updates reset progression and introduce new content and gameplay changes.

Eldegarde has been in Early Access since February 12 and will leave it on January 21. It is currently available at a 20 percent discount for $20 as part of Steam’s Winter Sale until January 5. There is no news regarding console versions at this time.
