Bloober Team’s Next Game Will Launch Only on a Platform Nobody Expected

After Silent Hill 2 Remake, Bloober Team is developing a new project exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2. According to the studio’s CEO, the game simply could not exist on any other platform.

In recent years, Bloober Team has become a constant presence in discussions around horror games. The Polish studio has evolved from a niche independent developer into a company working alongside major players, thanks to projects such as Silent Hill 2 Remake and Cronos: The New Dawn. At the same time, the team has built a reputation for handling multiple developments while maintaining an impressive production pace.

Within this context, CEO Piotr Babieno spoke about Project M, one of the studio’s most unusual undertakings to date. The project currently has no official title, though Bloober Team has indicated that concrete details will be shared soon.

Project M Will Be a Treat for Fans of Resident Evil and Eternal Darkness

In an interview with Nintendo Insider, Babieno admitted that keeping the project secret is becoming increasingly difficult. He emphasized that players who enjoy Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Limbo, or Eternal Darkness will immediately feel at home with the game’s tone and atmosphere.

According to the CEO, Project M will introduce a bold concept never before attempted in the horror genre, designed specifically around Nintendo hardware. He recalled that one of Bloober Team’s founding dreams was to create games for Nintendo platforms, making this project deeply personal for the studio.

Babieno also highlighted the lasting influence of Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem, originally released on GameCube in 2002. He explained that, given full creative freedom, he would gladly revisit that legacy while preserving the psychological horror identity that defines Bloober Team’s work.

“Without the support of the incredible people at Nintendo, this game would never have existed. Their trust guided and strengthened us at every step”, Babieno stated. While many details about Project M remain undisclosed, this is not Bloober Team’s first collaboration with Nintendo: earlier this year, the studio released Cronos: The New Dawn, which also arrived on Nintendo Switch 2.
