HONOR Magic8 Lite Put Through an Extreme Test – Manufacturer Demonstrates Durability in Striking Video [VIDEO]

TECH NEWS – A new video released by HONOR illustrates the physical resilience of the HONOR Magic8 Lite.

One of the highlights of the footage shows a 170-ton electric mining dump truck driving over the smartphone, offering a visual demonstration that the device is designed to withstand far greater stress than the drops and impacts typically encountered during everyday use. The video forms part of a broader testing approach aimed at illustrating the phone’s structural limits.

Built with extreme scenarios in mind

The video features a massive electric mining dump truck, measuring nearly 15 meters in length, 8.2 meters in width, and 7 meters in height, slowly passing over the HONOR Magic8 Lite. The test was conducted under controlled conditions, with a specific focus on the durability of the phone’s frame and front glass. While clearly not a real-world scenario for most users, the setup highlights the mechanical robustness of the device.

Practical implications for everyday use

This extreme demonstration goes beyond the certifications typically used to verify durability in the mid-range segment. According to HONOR, the combination of Ultra-Bounce Anti-Drop technology and a newly reinforced tempered glass structure contributed to the device earning SGS Triple Resistant Premium Performance certification, along with an SGS 5-Star Comprehensive Reliability rating.

Based on controlled testing, the HONOR Magic8 Lite meets IP68 and IP69K standards and is designed to survive drops of up to 2.5 meters onto certain surfaces. Features such as AI Rainproof Touch Control and AI Glove Touch Control aim to maintain screen usability even in challenging weather conditions.

Designed for long-term reliability

The HONOR Magic8 series targets users who value durability alongside performance. By combining reinforced construction, extended battery life, and software-level optimizations, HONOR positions these devices as tools intended to remain functional and dependable over years of regular, intensive use.
