Parasite Mutant: Try Out the “Not-Parasite Eve” on PC

IceSitruuna has announced that the game unveiled in September can now be tried on one of its target platforms thanks to a playable demo.

The Parasite Mutant demo is available on Steam. It includes a tutorial that introduces the core gameplay systems, including combat, a short prologue offering a brief glimpse into the story, and an explorable area that represents roughly 5% of the full game. According to IceSitruuna, the demo can be completed in around 45 minutes.

Parasite Mutant is a science fiction horror RPG set in the distant future. Psionic agent Nova is sent on a mission to an abandoned and isolated island city filled with horrifying creatures, unaware that what unfolds there will completely alter her fate. The game uses the ATC (Active Time Chains) system, which combines the late-’90s RPG staple Active Time Battle with a three-segment chain mechanic.

Players must carefully time their actions within each segment and decide whether to conserve energy or unleash a combo. As the gauge fills, they must evade enemy attacks and strike back at precisely the right moment.

Parasite Mutant features a semi-realistic anime-inspired visual style paired with modern rendering techniques to deliver an HD experience. Retro and CRT filters are also included, allowing players to recreate the atmosphere of late-’90s and early-2000s games. As a survival horror title, it features a wide variety of disturbing mutants, environmental puzzles, and a dark mystery waiting to be uncovered.

The game uses a classic equipment progression system, letting players attach modules to their gear or upgrade it using Plus Points earned in combat. A New Game+ mode is also included, allowing players to carry over their points, unlock new areas, and take on an ultimate challenge. An outfit customization system is planned as well.

Parasite Mutant is scheduled to launch later this year on PlayStation 5 and PC.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
