Joker Studio and NetEase Games are preparing to release a trial version, though alpha testing will not be available everywhere.

In the game, players take on the role of a puppetfolk sailor who has lost their memories. They must navigate treacherous seas, battle bizarre monsters, customize their fleet, and form bonds with over 300 companions. All of this takes place while shaping the ever-evolving pirate city of Orbtopia through impactful choices. The new gameplay trailer offers an enticing look at pirate life in Sea of Remnants, including open-world exploration, sea monster battles, and mini-games that players can encounter in the majestic city of Orbtopia.

The trailer also reveals the upcoming Wanderer Test, a small-scale closed alpha that will run from February 5 to February 12 on PC. From today until January 23, players can apply for the test by following the official Sea of Remnants Twitter account, engaging with this post, and joining the official Sea of Remnants Discord server to complete the application questionnaire. Questionnaires will also be available on platforms including Steam and Reddit. Spots to participate in the test are extremely limited, and eligible captains will be notified if they are selected to receive test access.

The Sea of Remnants Wanderer alpha test will run from February 5 to 12 on PC. You can sign up until 5 AM CET on January 23. Filling out the application form on Steam, Reddit, or Discord is all you need to do if you don’t want to like/comment/retweet the tweet. Sea of Remnants is set to release this year on PlayStation 5, PC, Android, and iOS.
