Apple Puts Creativity on Subscription: Creator Studio Brings a Wave of AI-Powered Tools

TECH NEWS – Apple‘s new subscription can be paid monthly or yearly, and it borrows more than a few cues from Adobe‘s playbook…

Apple has announced an expanded bundle of creative apps and software packed with AI-driven additions, sold as a single subscription for $13 per month or $129 per year. The Pixelmator Pro app is now also available on iPad, featuring a touch-first interface, full Apple Pencil support, smooth handoff between iPad and Mac in both directions, and access to Apple Silicon machine-learning tools like Super Resolution for upscaling images and Warp for manipulating image layers.

Final Cut Pro is also gaining a set of AI-assisted features, including Transcript Search for locating specific audio moments, Visual Search for finding clips based on on-screen objects or actions, a new Beat Detection tool for music, and a Montage Maker that uses AI to analyze footage and then builds a music-synced dynamic video by intelligently reframing and applying Auto Crop for vertical formats. Over in Logic Pro, there’s now a Synth Player designed to generate electronic music performances, plus a Chord ID feature that produces chords after analyzing audio or MIDI recordings, alongside additional tools such as Quick Swipe Comping and a new Music Understanding capability that supports natural-language queries inside the Sound Browser.

Apple Creator Studio also points to a broader feature set across Motion, including Magnetic Mask for isolating and tracking objects, Compressor for output customization and stronger distribution workflows, and MainStage for configuring live performances with a studio-style sound setup. Pages, Numbers, and Keynote are set to receive the Liquid Glass interface, as well as access to a new content hub filled with curated graphics and photos. Keynote will additionally plug into OpenAI‘s generative AI models, enabling users to create and transform images from text prompts. Freeform is slated to get more features in 2026.

Of course, Apple using OpenAI models inside Keynote is a different track from the company’s recently announced partnership with Google around Gemini models…
