Byte Barrel and Fulqrum Publishing are still expanding, and just four months after the previous console releases, the FPS is on its way to yet another platform.
Set out on the road to redemption as you continue the story of the character known from the first game – the Priest. How long can you keep your footing on the edge of sanity? Will your sins be forgiven, or will madness devour your soul? The sequel’s dark, hand-drawn art direction – where every frame looks like a comic-book panel – remains a cornerstone of the franchise. Forgive Me Father 2 also refreshes that signature style with improved sprites, upgraded models, and moody lighting effects. Expect juicy blood splatter and animated chunks of gore flying in every direction.
Face down Lovecraftian nightmares with a wide selection of weapons. Fight through hordes of varied, terrifying enemies – but stay sharp, because each one can evolve into increasingly evil, warped forms. Define your play style and build the deadliest arsenal from a broad set of weapons. Every gun has even stronger variants that can unleash pure chaos and bring total destruction to your enemies. Shotguns, rocket launchers, and machine guns are all on the menu, just waiting for you to unlock their full potential.
Overwhelming insanity will be both your closest ally and your greatest threat. Let it wash over you to unleash absolute mayhem on your enemies, and you will be rewarded with extraordinary powers. Embrace the madness to “feed” your new, bizarre abilities, and teach the horrors attacking your senses to fear you. Feel the surprisingly perfect mix of heavy electric guitar riffs and energetic drums that amplifies the game’s dark Lovecraftian mood. Slaughter hordes of deranged cultists and stand against unimaginable ancient evil, all while an original soundtrack pushes you to keep headbanging.
Forgive Me Father 2 launched in Early Access on PC on October 19, 2023, and left Early Access on October 24, 2024. It arrived on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on September 23 last year. The release date for the Nintendo Switch port had previously been unknown, but it is now official: Lovecraft’s legacy reaches the Switch on January 22.
