TECH NEWS – The HUAWEI MatePad 11.5 S has arrived, designed to meet the everyday needs of learning and on-the-go work.

The device turns note-taking and creative work into a more comfortable, eye-friendly and efficient paperless digital experience, fitting seamlessly into modern study and work environments alike.

An eye-friendly display for longer focus

Outdoor use and extended screen time often come with glare and eye strain. The HUAWEI MatePad 11.5 S targets this issue with its new Ultra-clear PaperMatte display. Compared to the previous generation, the display technology reduces the micro-grain shimmering effect typical of matte panels by 50%, while also minimizing reflections.

The 2.8K resolution, 291 PPI pixel density, and 144 Hz refresh rate all contribute to a detailed and natural viewing experience – whether reading documents, taking notes, or watching video content. While writing, the subtle resistance of the screen evokes the feel of traditional paper, enabling more precise and controlled handwriting.

Digital note-taking and creation in one place

The HUAWEI MatePad 11.5 S, together with the HUAWEI M-Pencil Pro included in the package, supports learning and creative workflows through the company’s own freely available applications. The HUAWEI Notes app helps users take notes with multiple brushes, templates, handwriting correction, and AI-based handwriting and equation recognition – whether for studying or personal notes.

For creative users, the GoPaint app provides additional tools, including intelligent color cards, animation features and specialized brushes that make drawing and digital painting more efficient. These tools cover a wide range of use cases, from everyday note-taking to visual creation.

A tablet that can become a full workspace

Traditional mobile work often relies on heavy laptops, but a tablet offering PC-level performance can provide a more flexible and comfortable solution. The Smart Magnetic Keyboard designed for the HUAWEI MatePad 11.5 S supports multiple usage modes, allowing the tablet to adapt easily to different situations. The keyboard offers laptop and studio modes as well as a split layout, making it practical in tighter spaces, for note-taking, or when writing longer texts.

The device also runs productivity-focused software such as Wondershare Filmora and WPS Office, enabling document editing, presentation creation, or even video cutting while on the move. The goal is for the tablet to be suitable not only for entertainment, but for real work and study as well.

The HUAWEI MatePad 11.5 S with keyboard has been available since January 15, 2026 via Huawei’s online channels for a recommended retail price of HUF 199,990. The bundle automatically includes the M-Pencil Pro stylus. More information is available on the official product page.
