Last chance! PlayStation is getting ready to remove 8 games from PS Plus, but you still have a few days left to give them a try. The lineup – which includes Cult of the Lamb and The Ascent – will disappear from the Extra and Premium tiers with the next catalog update.
PlayStation has revealed which games will be leaving PS Plus Extra and Premium with the upcoming February refresh. In total, the Japanese company plans to remove eight titles, spanning everything from sports games to fantasy experiences, including even an indie hit that made waves after release.
Here’s how the PS Plus add/remove process works: once new games are added into the catalog, the service updates its “Last Chance to Play” section, which signals what will be removed with the next update. That section was recently updated (via Push Square), letting subscribers know that the Extra and Premium tiers will soon lose access to the games listed below.
• Carto
• Cult of the Lamb
• New World Aeternum (due to its removal from stores and the planned server shutdown on January 31, 2027)
• Rez Infinite
• SaGa Frontier Remastered
• Super Neptunia RPG
• The Ascent
• WWE 2K25
Players still have several days left to jump into each of these games before they’re removed from PS Plus Extra and Premium. Sony tends to refresh its subscription catalog in the middle of the month, meaning no changes are expected until well into February. In other words, the titles above should remain available for the next few weeks.
The 9 PS Plus Extra and Premium games for January 2026 are already live
It’s a mixed situation. Yes, PlayStation will be taking away games like The Ascent and Cult of the Lamb next month, but it’s worth remembering that the nine titles included in January’s PS Plus Extra and Premium batch are already available. And it’s a highly recommended selection too, as PS4 and PS5 subscribers can now dive into games like Resident Evil Village and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.
If that still isn’t enough, PS Plus Essential also received its update earlier this month, bringing three games: Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, NFS Unbound, and Core Keeper. Those titles are still available to claim, but they’ll disappear on February 2 to make room for a new batch that hasn’t been announced yet.
