Kingdom Come: Deliverance: The PlayStation Store Is Already Mentioning the Upgrade

Is it a remaster, or simply a standalone update? Unfortunately, that is still a question we cannot answer.

After a second rumor last month suggested that Warhorse Studios was preparing a current-gen PlayStation 5 version of Kingdom Come: Deliverance, the new version has now been practically confirmed, because the UK PlayStation Store description lays out features of an unannounced PlayStation 5 edition, such as increasing the game’s resolution to 4K, improving frame rate, and more. Rumors about this new version first circulated in October, and the above-mentioned December rumor pointed to an upcoming release again, placing it in early 2026, although the latest talk went one step further and added that it would launch in February.

The updated PlayStation Store description does not indicate when the new version will be available, nor whether it will be a free upgrade or something players will have to pay for. What it does include, however, is confirmation that Warhorse has reworked the original release, updating visuals, increasing frame rate, and improving textures. According to the refreshed text, the Kingdom Come: Deliverance PlayStation 5 version now includes graphical upgrades such as 4K resolution, improved refresh rate, high-resolution textures, and much more, and that medieval Bohemia has never looked this beautiful.

Hopefully, this means we can expect an official announcement from Warhorse Studios soon, and while there is no guarantee this will be a free upgrade, the fact that it is appearing through an updated PlayStation Store listing likely suggests it is a substantial update rather than a full remaster or separate release. If that is the case and you already own the game on PlayStation 4, you may not need to spend extra money, and a major update could deliver a native PlayStation 5 version.
