GeForce Now: New Games on Offer, And a Native Linux App Is Coming! [VIDEO]

If you’re tired of Windows 10/Windows 11 and have switched to Linux, you can try out Nvidia‘s service in beta.

On Thursday, Nvidia added ten new games to its cloud-based gaming service, led by the narrative climbing game Cairn and The Bard’s Tale Trilogy. The newly introduced, Linux-native GeForce Now app also entered beta. Cairn is the latest game from The Game Bakers, the indie team behind Furi and Haven. Continuing the studio’s tradition, Cairn aims to carve out a fresh genre identity while keeping narrative as a primary focus. The game was released yesterday for PlayStation 5 and PC. It is one of five GeForce RTX 5080-compatible games available to GeForce Now users.

As for the other brand-new GeForce RTX 5080-compatible titles, players can fully tap into the RTX 5080‘s performance in the first-person zombie shooter The Midnight Walkers, the physics-based medieval combat simulator Half-Sword, and the open-world adventure game Vampires: Bloodlord Rising. The final RTX 5080-compatible game is Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, now available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers. Here is the complete list:

The Midnight Walkers (new release on Steam, January 28, GeForce RTX 5080 compatible)

Cairn (new release on Steam, January 29, GeForce RTX 5080 compatible)

Prototype (new release on Ubisoft Connect, January 29)

Prototype 2 (new release on Ubisoft Connect, January 29)

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 (new release on Xbox, available via Game Pass, January 29, GeForce RTX 5080 compatible)

Half Sword (new release on Steam, January 30, GeForce RTX 5080 compatible)

Vampires: Bloodlord Rising (new release on Steam, January 30, GeForce RTX 5080 compatible)

The Bard’s Tale Trilogy (Steam and Xbox, available via Game Pass)

The Bard’s Tale IV: Director’s Cut (Steam and Xbox, available via Game Pass)

Total War: Three Kingdoms (Epic Games Store)

Meanwhile, the Linux-native GeForce Now app officially entered beta this week. The desktop release goes beyond the earlier Linux experience tailored specifically for Steam Deck devices, as this app (available for Ubuntu 24.04 and later) makes using GeForce Now on Linux systems easier than ever.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
