Samsung’s OLED TVs and Odyssey Monitors Will Be Nvidia G-Sync Compatible This Year!

TECH NEWS – This will significantly reduce screen tearing, ensuring better immersion and an enhanced experience.

Samsung Electronics announced that its 2026 OLED TVs and Odyssey gaming monitors are Nvidia G-Sync compatible. These new OLED displays are designed to provide a smoother gaming experience by eliminating screen tearing, creating a more pleasant overall experience. Samsung unveiled these OLED displays at CES a few weeks ago, but it confirmed Nvidia G-Sync compatibility in a press release. Kevin Lee, executive vice president of Samsung Electronics Display Business, said their goal is simple: to provide an excellent gaming experience consistently, regardless of what or where you play. With innovations in OLED TVs and gaming monitors, Samsung offers greater performance, accuracy, and an immersive experience for all types of gamers.

Nvidia G-Sync is a popular technology that synchronizes the display refresh rate with the frame rate to reduce screen tearing. Since screen tearing is not only unpleasant but can also cause problems in competitive games, this technology improves the experience for users of 2026 OLED TVs and Odyssey gaming monitors. The S95H, S90H, and S85H models in the 2026 OLED TV lineup are compatible with Nvidia G-Sync, as are the recently launched Odyssey G6 G60H and G61SH models.

The 2026 OLED TV series includes the S95H, the most advanced 48-inch OLED TV, which offers a 165 Hz refresh rate, built-in Dolby Atmos, and Object Tracking Sound technology. The S90H has a similar refresh rate but slightly inferior brightness and other features compared to the S95H. The S85H is also a high-end OLED TV with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. In addition to G-Sync compatibility, the TVs feature AMD FreeSync Premium Pro technology, another excellent option for tear-free gaming.

Samsung also reminds users that the 2026 OLED TV series introduces HDR10+ Advanced technology, providing excellent brightness, contrast, and motion clarity. Similarly, the 2026 Odyssey monitor lineup offers two high-end monitors with 27-inch screens and refresh rates of up to 1040 Hz for the G60H model. This model includes a QHD@600Hz mode, but users can switch to an HD (1280×720)@1040Hz mode for competitive gaming.

The G61SH is also a high-end model, but more cost-effective, offering a QHD (2560×1440)@240Hz mode that is ideal for the general public. Both monitors support HDR10+ gaming and will be Nvidia G-Sync compatible.
