Bellring Games has announced that the third-person action PvPvE RPG will be released on more than one console.
Following an epic war between gods and outer gods, all deities have fallen. Their blood has transformed into the Gyldenmist, a corrosive force sweeping across the land and warping the souls of the living, driving them to madness and monstrous mutations. Amidst the Gyldenmist, a few resilient humans cling to their sanity, seeking refuge in the last remnants of civilization. Yet, hope endures. From the shadows emerges Dew, a mysterious girl with the power to resurrect fallen heroes and grant them immortal bodies. Under Dew’s guidance, these reborn champions, known as Gyldhunters, will venture into perilous territory and harvest the Gyldenblod of Gyldenized creatures for one sacred purpose: to mend the shattered Web of Fate and rekindle hope in a world on the brink of oblivion.
Experience fluid, third-person combat like never before! Mistfall Hunter features a precision aiming system that adds a thrilling new dimension to traditional action gameplay. Chain together devastating combos, strike enemy weak points with pinpoint accuracy, and coordinate with your teammates to overcome any foe that stands in your way. Choose from five distinct classes: Mercenary, Sorcerer, Blackarrow, Shadowstrix, and Seer. Each class has unique weapons, equipment, and characteristics and the ability to switch between two weapons or combat styles. Choose your class and style, then craft your own build with a selection of over ten skills and various talents. Collect high-level gear, upgrade affixes, and unlock potent passives to take your build to the next level!
As a Gyldhunter, you can play alone or team up with up to two other players. In the harsh mist, there are no heroes, only survivors and the fallen. Choose from different classes, coordinate tactics with your teammates, and enhance your performance in combat to increase your chances of escape. The land is rich with precious Gyldenblod and endless loot. But you’re not alone. Fearsome Corroded creatures and cunning rivals will stop at nothing to stand in your way. Every battle is a high-stakes gamble where death means losing everything you’ve fought for. Only by breaking through enemy lines and finding the Returner Woodling can you return to the safety of your camp.
In Q4 2025, a new class will be introduced: the Withered Knight. All classes will receive legendary-quality gear, and the combat core will be optimized. Stamina and second wind will be remastered, and weakness will be removed. With the in-game PvE respawn feature, if you are defeated by monsters, you can retrieve your soul and respawn within the time limit. Defeat bosses quickly to earn extra rewards. With the PvP training grounds, you can practice combat anytime against other Gyldhunters or the AI. Gem socketing offers more freedom with affix combinations, allowing you to explore more build options. The combat bag allows you to equip standard loadouts with one click and quickly start a new match. Save multiple preset loadouts for faster preparation. You can also inspect weapons and valuable items, and the spawn points and resource point distribution are fully optimized. Equipment found during a match can be stored in Pip’s Pocket.
In Q1 2026, a new map will be introduced: Solemn Needles – a brand-new environment with new game modes and monsters. General talents will also be introduced, allowing you to create unique builds and explore new gameplay styles. An in-match merchant will be introduced as well. Pip’s top assistant is here to offer fair deals. There are also powerful tactical items, fully optimized matchmaking mechanisms and algorithms, a forge system overhaul, and usability improvements, such as marking features and improved map readability. Initial controller support will be completed.
By Q2 of 2026, all classes and archetypes will be optimized or reworked. A new boss will appear on the Solemn Needles map. The Solemn Needles map will have the Chaos difficulty and its unique mechanics. Various new in-match tasks and events will be introduced, along with custom cosmetics, such as equipment and weapon skins, emotes, and more. The Victory Wine system and the tutorial stage will be overhauled. Quick recruit and team up, match history viewing, and ports to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series will be added.
The game is set to launch in July. The Withered Knight and the Blackarrow will receive a new weapon archetype, and holy weapons will be available for all classes, offering exclusive gameplay affixes that will expand build variety. The Brandrgarde Cataclysm difficulty and its unique mechanics will also be introduced. A new themed mode, Soul Hunt, will be introduced, along with season 1 gameplay mechanics, main tasks, season events, the trophy pillar (to showcase your collected loot at camp), the ladder and tier system, the battle pass and mall system, additional new monsters, and custom cosmetics, including new equipment and weapon skins.
Mistfall Hunter will exit early access on PC in July and be released on Xbox Series and, according to the new announcement, on PlayStation 5 as well.
