After a long period of PC exclusivity, the game from Moonlight Games and Dangen Entertainment will be released on multiple consoles.

Hunt the Night is a retro-style action RPG that blends fast, skillful combat with dark fantasy lore. Play as Vesper, a Stalker, and explore the ruined world of Medhram on a mission to save humanity from a deadly cycle of annihilation. Face nightmarish overworlds, slash through horrific dungeons, confront brutal bosses, and harness an arsenal of powers in an unrelenting battle against the Night itself.

It is the 9th Age of humanity. The day cycle is ruled by humans, and the night cycle is ruled by horrid creatures. Despite their efforts, humans are annihilated with the arrival of the Night. A group of humans calling themselves The Stalkers discovered how to use the power of darkness to their advantage and fought the Night. However, it was not enough. With every new dawn, humanity rose again, knowing that with darkness comes extinction.

They found the Seal of Night, an artifact that allowed them to stop the cycle and create an everlasting day. The Stalkers paid the price of a blood oath, and the sun ruled for hundreds of generations. For the first time, hope was a beacon of light. Yet fate proved unstoppable, and they paid the ultimate price. Now, as the Night begins to devour every glimmer of light, Vesper, a Stalker by birthright and the daughter of a traitor, must travel through a dying land in an attempt to save the last embers of humanity. She hunts in a race against destiny as the shadows lengthen in the world and in her mind.

Dash through hordes of enemies, unleashing combos and using weapons to destroy them. Switch between melee and ranged attacks quickly: slash enemies with your sword, then dash away to use your ranged weapons and avoid enemy attacks. Face the ultimate challenge as you battle ancient horrors of the night that have annihilated humanity time and again in intense boss battles. Learn their weak points and attack patterns to survive the different combat phases as the battles become more challenging.

Create a build that adapts to your preferred gameplay and particular bosses. Customize the upgrades of your arsenal, and use equipment that best suits your playstyle: Critical Damage, Life Steal, Poison, Close Combat, Firepower, and more. Collect Sanguine Vials, Crow Feathers, Moonstones, and Noctilium to boost your stats and prepare to face the Night. Explore Medhram, a world of action-adventure and dark fantasy lore. Survive huge dungeons full of traps, enemies, puzzles, and challenges. Discover all kinds of locations, from ancient cathedrals and libraries to lost kingdoms and floating cities in ruins.

Accept a hunt at Crow’s Nest and track down the dark beast. Find out where it hides and hunt the most powerful creatures of the night. After every completed hunt, you will receive rewards that increase your health and dark energy bars. Meet new characters and unlock full questlines that vary depending on your actions, such as whether you decide to help them, find them at their next location, or fail to achieve the mission requirements in time. Everything counts. Immersive music adapted to every moment, boss, and location was created in collaboration with Hiroki Kikuta, composer of Secret of Mana.

Hunt the Night was released for PC on April 13, 2023. It will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch on February 26. Selecta Play will release a physical edition for PlayStation 5 and Switch in the summer.
