Spielberg Is the Herald of a New UFO Movie Wave

MOVIE NEWS – Steven Spielberg’s sci-fi film Disclosure Day arrives in theaters this summer, and it is shaping up to be a major movie event.

In it, the director once again makes the case that we are not alone in the universe and that extraterrestrial visitation could happen at any moment. Many expect Spielberg’s new work to usher in the next era of UFO cinema, even though aliens have been among us all along – at least on movie screens. Most recently, a spacecraft hovered above a desert town in Nope, while last year the documentary The Age of Disclosure broke viewership records on one streaming service by exploring how governments around the world have been secretly investigating extraterrestrial civilizations for decades.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, UFO movies really will start arriving one after another after Disclosure Day. Joseph Kosinski, who has long been drawn to the subject and directed Oblivion, has just finished one such untitled project, which examines how politicians want to conceal the existence of extraterrestrials. Also in development is a project titled Unidentified, which will offer a look behind the scenes of the Roswell UFO incident – the memorable conspiracy theory in this case claims that the military is hiding the fact that an alien spacecraft crashed in the New Mexico desert. And if anyone still doubts that the truth is out there, proof may soon arrive, because a new series based on the story of The X-Files is also in preparation.
