Ember Lab has confirmed that the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Kena: Bridge of Spirits is just around the corner. Earlier this month, the developer surprised players by announcing that their beautiful adventure and fantasy game would arrive on the hybrid console in “spring 2026.” It turns out the team has been busy putting the finishing touches on this port, and it has now been revealed that it will be available sooner than expected — specifically, on March 26.
Essentially, less than a month will have passed between the first announcement of the Nintendo Switch 2 version and its final release. Either way, this is great news for those who want to step into Kena’s shoes right away, as it means players will only have to wait one week to try the title on Nintendo‘s hybrid console. As a reminder, it’s worth noting that Ember Lab has included the Anniversary DLC (which integrates additional challenges, Kena skins, accessibility options, and more) and the New Game+ mode in its new port.
Kena: Bridge of Spirits invites players to take on the role of a young spirit guide on a mission to travel to an abandoned village and find a sacred temple, all while gathering spirit companions that have won users’ hearts with their adorable appearance. Ember Lab‘s work stands out not only for its fantastic premise, but also for its beautiful visual presentation, which draws directly from the company’s roots as an animation studio.
Kena: Scars of Kosmora Is Coming in 2026
The fact that Nintendo Switch 2 players will receive Kena: Bridge of Spirits in a matter of days is great news. After all, it not only opens the door to a world that has captivated thousands of people around the globe, but it also serves as an entry point for the upcoming Kena: Scars of Kosmora. The sequel, presented at the latest State of Play, will show a more mature Kena capable of using her abilities in completely different ways. For now, the title is confirmed for PC and PS5, and will arrive on the market this very year, in 2026.
