At the end of Gamescom, DICE decided to continue the developer diaries for Star Wars Battlefront, so they pulled out the third episode – however, we decided to tie together the post with the former episodes, so you can check out all three parts in one place, allowing you to catch up quite quickly if you are interested.
We’re a little bit worried about Battlefront though: comparing it to Battlefield – developed by the same team, so it’s a legitimate comparison – series, there are less maximum players in a multiplayer game, plus there’s zero single player campaign for the game.
This also brings up the question that how will the servers fare? Remember, Electronic Arts looks at Star Wars Battlefront as its lead game for the 2015 business year pretty much, setting up a quite high sales number expectation as well – the servers should work right off the bat, no exceptions.
We still think that Battlefront has a lot of potential. There’s also going to be a team deathmatch mode in the game, but we’d rather spend some time by flying some TIE Fighters first…
