Horizon Zero Dawn Could Return to PC and PS5 in a Very Special Way – Here Are the Details!

If you ever feel bad, thinking that you’re unnecessary, then consider that Sony has remastered the beautiful Horizon Zero Dawn, which is already running at 60 fps on the PS5…

Although no official announcement has yet been received from PlayStation, many have turned their heads to the page of the American Rating Agency (ESRB). Surprisingly, they name-dropped “Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered” for PlayStation 5 and PC! The jump to Sony’s new generation of the game, which was initially released for PS4 and then ported to PC in 2020, is more than understandable since Guerrilla Games’ open-world action-adventure would increase the resolution while improving its performance, as it did on PC we’ve already seen it.

However, rumours of a PC version also suggest that PlayStation’s plans are a bit more ambitious.

This remaster would reportedly go one step further, as it would use the character models and other unique effects seen in the recently released fantastic Horizon Forbidden West for PC.

On the eve of the Tokyo Game Show 2024, where, among other things, we will see the long-awaited Death Stranding 2, Sony could take advantage of the most important Japanese video game fair to unveil this project, which, as we said, has not yet been officially presented. However, we know that the colorful Lego Horizon Adventures is currently being prepared for the Horizon saga, which may be released not only for PC and PS5, but also for Nintendo Switch in the coming months.

PlayStation’s future plans apart from Zero Dawn

With the recent announcement of the PS5 Pro still fresh, little is known about PlayStation’s next big games after the release of the awesome Astro Bot. (Except for the already mentioned LEGO Horizon Adventures or Bungie’s new Marathon.) The proximity of an event like TGS 2024 and the lack of information about new titles from Sony’s major studios suggests that we will soon receive news about the PlayStation family in 2025 about its main appearances. Will this Horizon remaster be among them? Everything will be revealed soon…
