BioWare may have given those with a GeForce RTX 4000 card in the system requirements as much to worry about as they may not have considered the DLSS 3 frame generation technology. And what can we expect on the console? On PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, we’ll get a mode focused on resolution and performance (30/60 FPS). What will the PlayStation 5 Pro version have? Maciej Kurowski, Technical Director at BioWare, has the answer: “The game’s Fidelity and Performance modes will both see hardware enhancements, including improved resolution in 30FPS Fidelity and 60FPS Performance modes. In addition, there will be several improved visual settings in 30FPS Fidelity and 60FPS Performance modes. We have improved image quality thanks to Sony’s new AI-based upscaler, PSSR. We’ve enabled Raytraced Ambient Occlusion (RTAO) in 60FPS Performance mode, which was previously only available on the base PlayStation 5 with 30FPS Fidelity mode.”
Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be available to pre-load on PlayStation 5 on October 29th at 6pm. There will be no PC download, but in return the game will not use Denuvo DRM. It will be released on October 31st for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC.
