Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Release Date: When Can You Play?

A divisive perk is also returning in the 2024 episode of Call of Duty, which will be released in a few days (and this time it will be available on a subscription service from launch).

We’ll be able to start preloading Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 soon, as it will be available tonight at 6pm CEST. This will allow you to jump into the story mode, multiplayer and zombies as soon as the game launches. There will be no early access to either mode at this time. But when can we start playing? In CEST this will be possible from 6am on October 25th, 2024.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will see the return of the Last Stand perk, which hasn’t been seen since the first Call of Duty: Black Ops, a good decade and a half ago. Treyarch Studios has made some changes to it. Now it won’t be a perk, but a field upgrade, and under a new name, so you’ll see it as Morphine Injector in Call of Duty 2024. According to a blog post, players can unlock it by reaching level 44 and entering a Last Stand state while taking fatal damage. At that point, teammates will have the option to resurrect, or the dying player can resurrect themselves if they can take someone down. Although it has not been clarified, the injured player will likely only have the basic pistol available to them at this point, just as they did when using the Last Stand perk.

Reddit users are also complaining about the return. Some people think that the maximum number of times the Morphine Injector can be used per match is twice, which could be achieved with the slow load time, while others see Treyarch’s return to this year’s Call of Duty as a big mistake in general.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be released on October 25th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass.
