Killer7 PC Port Gets Major Update: Now Better Than Ever!

Grasshopper Manufacture, Engine Software and NIS America have given the game a major quality of life update.

The videos from killer7 have been updated based on the GameCube videos and updated to hopefully run smoother! They have remastered all the videos based on the original GameCube videos. All videos are now in webm format instead of ogv. Various changes have been made to improve overall graphics performance to give you all a better visual experience. More reload animations now use 60 frames per second. Added MSAA support (can be enabled in the config tool). Added framerate limiter support (Config tool). Upscaled more fonts and textures. Added BC7 texture support. Enabled DPI awareness to allow proper 4K resolutions (please disable custom DPI overrides).

Added a quick character selection option for those using gamepads. It’s on the left trigger by default, but is configurable in the configuration tool. Junctions can now be selected more quickly when using the mouse. It’s now possible to select all skills in the TV menu when using the mouse. Kess Bloodysunday cutscenes can now be skipped. Replaced fixed Xbox button references with dynamic button glyphs (properly display customized buttons, added support for keyboard and mouse buttons). Removed “memory card” references when saving or loading. Config tool now checks for incorrect duplicate bindings. Added support for DualShock 4 and DualSense.

Fixed rendering of characters at intersections (they no longer appear red). Various fixes when using a monitor with a refresh rate higher than 60 Hz (mouse targeting was too slow, certain animations were too fast). Fixed the Handsome Death Particle effect. Fixed a rare legacy crash during the “Susie in the Dryer” scene. Fixed text errors in various subtitles and memos. Fixed a legacy bug in the Ulmeyda boss fight. Fixed a graphical bug when exiting the game during the Curtis boss fight. Hopper7 mode now displays Camelia’s weakness. Fixed a rare random crash when opening the in-game menu. Fixed audio bug when (un)plugging headphones. Fixed a legacy graphical glitch when fighting with Kevin. Fixed mouse problems when it had a high polling rate. Various other optimizations.

The port seems to be excellent now.
