After nearly nine months, Tender Claws, the game based on the popular Netflix series (currently in its fourth season with a spin-off in the works), is no longer exclusive to Meta headsets.
Experience the world of Stranger Things from the never-before-seen perspective of Vecna as he explores unknown realities, forms the Hive Mind, and enacts his plan for revenge against Eleven and Hawkins. Players will enter the dreams and memories of fan-favorite characters and use telekinetic powers to possess minds and battle creatures as Henry Creel’s transformation into Vecna and his influence on the events of previous seasons are revealed.
Grab, crush, and throw your opponents with telekinesis. Relive memories of Henry’s time at the Hawkins Lab with Dr. Brenner as you explore an otherworldly, interconnected hive mind. Inhabit the dreams and memories of fan-favorite characters like Will Byers and Billy Hargrove as you manipulate them to do your bidding. Open and close portals between worlds and realities… at your peril.
So, we’ve already announced that Stranger Things VR is coming to Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 2 on February 22nd. Tender Claws is now bringing it to PlayStation VR2 and SteamVR for $25. Pre-orders are now open on PlayStation Store, and anyone with a PlayStation Plus subscription (whether PlayStation Plus Essential, PlayStation Plus Extra or PlayStation Plus Premium) can pre-order it at a 20% discount, so you can get it for $20.
Stranger Things VR’s release date for PC VR headsets and Sony’s next-generation device isn’t far off, as it’s coming to PC VR on December 5. Considering how familiar the show is to so many, it’s no wonder Tender Claws turned it into a game adaptation; the only question is why Netflix is focusing on generative AI?
