Good Shepherd Entertainment is currently planning to release Moroi (developed by Violet Saint) only on PC, and at least in this case you won’t have to pay 70 or 60 euros, but only a fraction of that.
Moroi takes place in the Cosmic Engine, a personalized hellscape designed to distort any semblance of normalcy. Truth is an illusion, paranoia is constant, and your humanity is a curiosity. You awaken to find yourself a prisoner in a living nightmare. Your name, your past: gone, but not the record of your misdeeds. Your crimes: beyond comprehension. Your conviction: undeniable. Your sentence: eternal. The need to escape and make things right: undeniable. Fight your way through a vibrant, twisting maze. Hone your skills in dynamic combat encounters and absurd puzzles. Meet the most disturbing and grotesque denizens of the Cosmic Engine, each with unique and nonsensical personalities that will aid your quest as much as they will deceive you. Escape means freedom, and in freedom, truth.
Descend through the surreal, twisting Spire as you recover from amnesia and slowly discover the morbid truth about your past and your hostile surroundings. Cling to your sanity as the fabric of reality unravels before your eyes. Take on the army of the undead with an arsenal of unorthodox weapons and accessories. Perhaps you prefer the quick slices of your chainsword against large hordes of enemies, while reserving the devastating blows of your power hammer for boss battles. Or go all out and replace your entire arm with a fully functional cannon. Mix and match to find the build that best suits your play style.
Test your resolve with a variety of environmental and logic puzzles. In a world without sense or reason, you’ll have to stoop to your lowest level if you want to get ahead. Solve puzzles by drinking blood, forcing regurgitation, and digging through guts. Fun. Designed specifically to torment you, the Cosmic Engine will stop at nothing to keep you at bay. Multiple playthroughs of Moroi will be required to experience all that the game has to offer, from subtle changes within the story to multiple fate-changing endings.
Moroi will be released on PC (Steam) later this year for $20.
