The Explosive New Game from the GTA Creator Will Be “Infinite” – MindsEye’s World Will Never Stop Growing

Get ready, because the creator of GTA is about to launch an “infinite” action game. MindsEye’s “fake open world” will expand after launch. The title will be available for PS5, Xbox Series and PC for $59.99, and comes with tools to create brand-new adventures.

Although GTA VI isn’t coming until 2026, one of the key minds behind the Grand Theft Auto franchise is about to launch his own project outside Rockstar. Leslie Benzies has been leading the development of MindsEye at his new studio, Build a Rocket Boy, and after wowing fans with trailers and gameplay details, he’s now putting the final touches on the game’s release. MindsEye aims to go beyond the usual, with post-launch content and a system designed to turn Jacob Diaz’s journey into an “infinite” experience.

As seen in the trailer above, Build a Rocket Boy has released a deep dive video that showcases the game’s story, mechanics, and extras. While the title is described as an explosive action game with gunplay and drone control, players will also need to survive in challenging scenarios and perform tasks like reviving allies.

The Possibilities of Playing MindsEye

The real highlight of Benzies’ project isn’t just the campaign or the action – it’s Play.MindsEye, a companion platform available on all systems that will keep adding fresh content. On June 10, Build a Rocket Boy will launch the game for $59.99, and players can dive into the so-called “fake open world” with a Free Pass that includes three new missions – one for horde mode and two for combat – six races, additional checkpoints, and three drone races. Those who choose the Premium Pass will unlock another horde mission and an Exotic cosmetic pack.

On top of that, Build a Rocket Boy has a roadmap that will roll out throughout the summer, fall, and winter, with bonus missions, community updates, special events, solo play modes, and more – all available to both Free Pass and Premium Pass owners.

Meanwhile, the community will be able to create their own experiences and expand the MindsEye universe. As explained in the trailer, PC players will have access to Build.Mindseye, a toolset designed to be “the home of endless entertainment.” These fan-made adventures will be available to everyone else through Play.MindsEye. How this vision evolves when players finally get their hands on MindsEye on June 10 remains to be seen.
